Purty flowers

Went outside a little bit ago to fill the bird baths. They get very angry if they don't have fresh water to bathe in! Saw some pretty flowers blooming in the yard and since we are expecting some high winds later this afternoon into this evening, I figured I'd best take some pictures. First is a day lily. Looks like a bug of some sort made a meal out of the lower petal! Then is the candy cane miniature rose bush outside the back porch door. And finally is the pretty pink Gerbera Daisy.

Sure hope we don't get the tornado activity they are saying we might see this afternoon. We can certainly use the rain that's coming. I was telling Debbie and Chris that last week we got .25 inch of rain here at the house and less than 3 miles south of me, water is standing in the median from the downpours there on the same night. Kim blogged about her son's baseball game being canceled due to water on the fields. She is only about 15 miles from me as the crow flies. It's crazy, the rain coverage!

Hey Sue. I got all my errands run just in case the clouds open up. Last week's rain was wild. Tonight is Mark's program which was cancelled last week because of the wacky weather. I don't mind the rain, I just don't want to be out in it. Also, I've kind of let my guard down here because of all the "blown" forcasts. I never know when to believe them.

I'm so jealous of your purty flowers...mine are all still covered by the snow in the frozen ground; it'll be at least a month before they even start to pop out. So thanks for sharing photos of yours :-) Heidi
