SDC 206-Under The Sea

Kristen is our hostess this week at SDC 206 and she wanted us to do something "Under The Sea."

I guess I must be getting psychic in my old age because I started this in my small Dylusions journal yesterday thinking I wanted to do something "water-ish." This is what I ended up with!

There is both blue and green Stickles on the pages for some sparkle as well as some on the mermaids. The mermaids are from Viva Las Vegas stamps and everything else is Dyan's.

SDC 205-Household Items

After skipping a couple of weeks, it's time again for Stampotique Designers Challenge   Arwen is our hostess this week and she wanted us to use household items for our backgrounds.

I used a nail brush in Texture Paste for my first layer. Once it dried, I colored it using Tim Holtz's Distress Spray Stains and Distress Inks. Then I found an incense burner that has a nice square bottom and stamped it using Dina Walkley's Heavy Body Acrylic Paints. A pencil eraser always makes great circles, so more of Dina's paints for that! And an old hotel room key card for my lines with Dina's beautiful Penny Heavy Body Acrylic Paint. Then some highlighting with my Black Fude Ball pen and White Signo Uniball pen to finish it off!

12 Tags of 2015-July

A new month means a new tag from Tim. I think his July tags and the fact that he generally does a Patriotic theme are my favorite ones year in and year out. He used some new stuff again, and as usual, I followed along but still marched to my own drummer!

Use Ribbon SDC202

Corrie is our hostess this week for SDC202 and she wants us to Use Ribbon!

The very first thing that came to mind was Daniel Torrente's "Underwhere"  stamp and my Eiffel Tower Ribbon. So I combined the two and made a tag! I started with Tim Holtz's Distress Paints in Abandoned Coral, Twisted Citron and Fossilized Amber. I used Tim's Label Letters for the quote, which I took "artistic license" on!
