Bella!

It's been a while since I've done any Bella cards. It felt good to do a couple today. Both use Bazzill Bling cardstock and unknown paper from my stash. Dew Drops accent both. Balloonabella has Stickles on her balloons and I paper pieced her dress. For Grumpabella I used my Twinkling H2O's to paint her dress.

Perfect Pearl Bella

One of the things I got the other day at Ruban Rouge was Perfect Pearls. I thought they would be "perfect" for coloring in Bellas. I was right! I have a friend who is going thru a rough patch right now, so I decided she needed some chocolate. And chips. And popcorn. And a tall drink of something cool. This is PMSabella that Marjorie sent me in a RAK. I thought it was appropriate to help pick my friend up! The chair, and Bellas outfit are all colored in Perfect Pearls. The rest of her is Prismacolor color pencils. I used Liquid Applique on the popcorn for some dimension. Paper is Scenic Route Rockland collection.

Pretty Prezziebella!

Lea is in a Secret Sister group and they were a few players short in a Bella swap, so she asked me if I'd like to take a spot. Like to?! Does a bear...oh never mind!!!

This one did not have to be CTMH, so I used my Making Memories Boho Chic paper pack . I did use CTMH Floral Delights stamp set for the flowers on the bottom of the card, which I then cut out the bottom 1/2 of the flowers to give some added interest. For Prezziebella I used colored pencils and her clothes and shoes are done with Pearl Paint and reinkers. The bow on the prezzie is done with Diamond Stickles. A piece of white organdy ribbon tied in a pretty bow. The flower centers all have Glossy Accents to give them pop and shine and also gold Stickles.

Bee and Bella

I took "A Little Bee" with me this morning when I took my truck to be serviced. I can't just "sit" there while they service my vehicle. I got all of the images stamped, colored and cut out and the B&T and cardstock cut while they were working on my truck. Finished them up when I got home and decided since tomorrow is March 1 and St Paddy's Day is right around the corner, I'd use Goodluckabella that Marjorie sent me as my Bella fix for the day.

Bella has green Stickles on the shamrocks and bronze Stickles on the ribbon on her bucket. I paper pieced her pants using the green diamond pattern B&T from Sweet Harmony. The cardstock is Kaleidescope from my stash. A piece of green felt ribbon from my stash completes across the bottom of the card.

The Little Bee card uses the green diamond B&T from Sweet Harmony which I random stamped using the smaller flower stamps from the Little Bee set and Amethyst textured cardstock that I tore to expose the white core. A piece of narrow ribbon from my stash is tied around it.

Color Challenge #7

Jan had given me this picture of Joy back before Christmas. I kept looking at it, trying to decide how to scrap it. What colors to use. Confused and not knowing, I'd put it away. Dig it out, put it back. Hate it when nothing inspires me!

Marjorie solved that little problem this morning with her color challenge! This week's colors were Buttercup, Lilac Mist, Garden Green and Bamboo. Plus one additional color of our choosing. I chose Petal. I used Garden Green as the base color of cardstock, then used the Paper Garden paper pack. I cut out paper flowers using Colonial White, Buttercup and Petal, crumpled, sanded and Prisma Glittered them. Oh, and the Colonial White one, I used my Petal marker on to give it just a touch of color because it was too drab with just the Colonial White. I covered Dimensional Elements in cardstock. Used a Garden Green button with white waxy flax as the center of one and a spiral clip with a piece of white ribbon tied around it for the other. Found some 3-D butterflies and dragonflies in my stash and added them as well. Letters are white Thickers that I also had in my stash.

For the card, I had gotten Tinkerbella a couple of weeks ago and STILL not used her. Bad Sue!! So she got put to good use this morning as well. Doodle Alphabet was used for the corner flourishes and "wish" Tinkerbella has Diamond and Gold Stickles along with various colored pencils. I used my scallop scissors from 100 years ago to cut the Garden Green cardstock!

mo Bella!

I had to do something to get out of the masculine card vibe I was in. What better to cure that than some Grumpabella?! I have a huge list of things written out that she can "say!"

This card was inspired by my new Nestabilities by Spellbinders that I got last week. I got the scalloped circles. I found them here More Than Ink I used my lime green ink dauber to edge the scalloped circle with.

I used Life Delights paper pack. Grumpabella has green glitter from Sparkle and Sprinkle and Stickles on her housecoat. The pink and clear bling is emBELLAshments from Stamping Bella

And her "Dull women have immaculate homes" certainly sums me up in a nutshell! Not dull and not an immaculate house!!

Special Friends card

There are five special ladies in my life. One I have met and the other four I am anxious to meet. Sooner rather than later! I sent these 5 special ladies a card the other day. And now that they have all recieved their card, I can share what they got. (In alphabetical order!) Chris, Debbie, Jeanne, Liane and Rhonda. You are all very important to me.

In non-artistic news!

I had my 6 month check-up at the Dr yesterday. Been feeling a lot of the same feelings that I had a year and a half ago when the thyroid condition was diagnosed. Of course, it was not due to be checked until June and I did not know that when I went 2 weeks ago for the blood work. So all the Dr had was my cholesterol numbers, which were fine. They also checked my liver because if the cholesterol meds start going "bad", your liver is where it shows up first, so they check it every six months as well. So I ended up having to have another blood draw yesterday and they also did a bone density scan and thyroid ultrasound to see if the thyroid meds are gonna have to be changed again. So again, it's wait and see. He said if it's not my thyroid and I continue to not feel well, we will "have to explore other avenues." Yay! @@

I got my sushi fix last night! We were supposed to go this past Sat night and we had some wicked storms move thru, so discretion being the better part of valor, we opted instead for Subway. John was off early yesterday, so we went last night. I could eat sushi 7 nights a week if he'd let me! But I generally settle for once a month. Sometimes it's longer, but we average once a month.

Bella Swap

In honor of Grumpabella, today's post is PINK!

Meg just emailed me to let me know she recieved my swap cards in the mail. So I can share her with everyone. I could not decide what she was saying. If it was "I don't do mornings" or "Mornings ain't for sissies" so I asked Chris and Debbie their opinions. Course they each liked a different one! So I divided them up and did half and half and it will be luck of the draw as to who gets what. They are painted with Pearl Paint and chocolate and Hollyhock reinkers. More To Adore CTMH papers are used.

Bella and Tim!

I've been playing with Bella and Tim (Holtz!) since about 5:30 this morning! Obsessed? Me? No! Why do you ask?!

The first one is a combination of Bella, CTMH and Tim stamps. Tim is the background postal stamp and the "Moments" word stamp. CTMH is the number running across the top of the card from the Make It Count stamp set. Bella is Javabella. Inks are CTMH Bamboo, Desert Sand and Cocoa.

Second we have Clickabella with a Tim stamp "Trust Your Crazy Ideas." I thought this stamp pretty well described me. I need to learn to trust my crazy ideas. Because they generally end up being some of my best! Paper is CTMH Life Delights. Ink colors are CTMH Blush, Sweet Leaf and Lilac Mist.

Third is the Javabella's again! I had one of my crazy ideas, trusted it and love how this turned out! I used the Pearl Paint and reinkers ( Hollyhock, Breeze, Sunflower and Orchid Bouquet) to paint the flowers die cut and also the Bella's clothes and table. It really doesn't show in the picture, but it's very sparkly!

Fourth is Tim. The sun stamp on the top is embossed, then different colors of Ranger DistressInks are applied. Once I had it the way I wanted, I used an iron and newspaper and ironed over the embossed part to lift the embossing powder up. It's called Distress Batik.

And last is Tim. The stamp is the brick wall. I found some Harlequin paper in my stash. I used one of the skulls from Tim's new GrungeBoard and painted it with the Black Soot and Red Brick CracklePaint. Then distressed with Vintage Photo DistressInk.

There's still a few more Bellas and Tim stamps that I haven't shared. I can't show my entire hand of cards all at once! It keeps the Niele ones coming back! One is for a swap, so once I get them done and the hostess (Meg!) has them in her hands, I'll be sharing them.

Bella!

This is Javabella! Isn't it devine?! I am hooked. I bought 4 out of the gate! If you need a Bella or two or ten, you can get them here:
Just know before you go that they are addictive! And if you use acrylic blocks for stamping, you WILL need the EZ Mount to adhere to your Bellas so you can use your blocks. They sell it too at Stamping Bella. One stop shopping!
I also got a delivery today of Tim Holtz stamps, so I will be creating with them tomorrow. Fun, fun! I love new stamps!!
I got the swap pages mailed to Debbie today as well. Hopefully she will have them by Wed, so all you stalkers (and you KNOW who you are!) can just keep checking back!
