It's my turn once again to be featured on Roc's blog.
This month, I am featuring Screaming Bunny and Steampunk Border. Bunny is getting a bit of a head start on welcoming 2016! He's just a bit excited to turn the page and get ready for fun and frivolity in 2016.
So along with Bunny, I will wish you all a Happy New Year!

12 tags of 2015-December
It's time for Tim Holtz's final tag of 2015. I followed along pretty closely with this one. I didn't (at the time I made it) have the Festive Greenery die, so I went with a pre-made wreath and hung it on the front door!
I always enjoy doing the tags and I hope Tim continues them into 2016.

SDC-225 Alphabets
Time for the final Stampotique Designers Challenge for 2015. Claudine is the hostess before the Designers take a break for the Christmas holidays and she wanted to see alphabets.
So "A" is for Agatha Antlers! She's decked out in blue and silver and comes bearing a gift for the holiday. My background is done with Tim Holtz Distress Paints and a stray piece of burlap I had laying on my craft table. I used my PrismaColor Pencils to color Agatha and added some Silver Stickles to make everything glisten!

SDC224-Sequins
Time once again for SDC and this week, Valerie is our hostess and she wants to see sequins!
I made three tags using Tim Holtz Distress Stains in Abandoned Coral and Lucky Clover. Then I added some gold embossing paste thru the Flourishes stencil. While that was drying I colored 3 of Kira Nichols' Kitty Squad and 3 pieces of France Papillion's Banner to use as hats! And a few sequins around the edges. I "almost" wish I had come up with this idea when I made my Christmas cards!

Follow Your Heart
I am very excited to show you my first ever Roc Nicholas Design Team creation! This is ATC (Artist Trading Card) size, so it's 3.5" x 2.5". I put magnets on the back so it can go on the fridge or any other magnetic thing you might have around the house. And I say "You" because I'm giving it away! All comments will be "put into a hat" and a winner drawn one week from today on December 3.
I used Roc's Polka Dot Dog and Flying Heart as the focal points of the ATC. I chose the quote since that's what my heart was telling me to do when Roc announced the Design Team members search and when I did, I was lucky enough to be chosen.
So comment and this cute pup can soon be winging his way to your house next week!
You can find all of Roc's stamps at Stampotique!

SDC-223-Quick and Easy Christmas Cards
It's Wednesday and that means time for a new challenge at Stampotique. Nellie is our hostess this week and she wanted to see Quick And Easy Christmas cards.
I had to do a "not so quick" embossing on my tags, but otherwise I followed Nellie's rules! I used Magda's Agatha Antlers along with Tim's Hollybough stencil, which I colored with Dyan's Distress Spray Inks, and a piece of old scrapbooking Christmas cardstock.
I actually did two tags and will be adding them to my collection of tags and postcards to give away on Friday. I am participating in Flood The Streets With Art. You are just supposed to "abandon" your art piece for someone to find, but since mine are small, I will carry them as I am out shopping and just them out to people as I pass them in the mall. Should be fun!

SDC222-At The Movies
It's time for another Stampotique Designers Challenge and Corrie is our hostess this week. She wants to see something from the movies. There are so many I love, I had a hard time choosing my quote and characters.
I finally decided on Gone With The Wind. A classic for the ages. I loved Scarlet's line at the end when she said, "Tomorrow's another day." Or, in my best Southern accent, Tamarrah's anotha day! I used a mop-up page in my small Dylusions journal. Roc's Feline is my Scarlet, even colored red! And Roc's Crooked House is Tara.
I could probably do a gozillion of these with some of my favorite movie quotes, but I'll quit with this one.

SDC-221-Take a Box
Sam Read is our hostess this week at Stampotique and she wants us to "Use A Box" or part of a box.
I decided to get a start on my Christmas gift tags. I used some leftover scraps of Christmas scrapbooking papers and used two of Roc's dogs, Dog and Polka Dot Dog. I used some of Wendy Vecchi's lucious embossing paste thru a stencil for the Merry Christmas.

12 tags of 2015-November
It's time once again for the 12 tags of 2015, the November version! Jump over and see what Tim created.
I followed the base pretty close, but instead of the pumpkin, I chose to use the Acorn stamp. I did the acorn the same way he did the pumpkin to dive it depth and dimension. I used some Chit Chat words from the Holidays collection as well.

SDC220-Bright Colors
It's Carol's turn to hostess at Stampotique Designers Challenge and she wants us to use bright colors. So bright she will get!
I started by using Dyan Reaveley and Dina Wakley paints to a tag which I applied with a palette knife.n Once dry, I applied some more paint thru a stencil and also used a dotted stamp for some more added bright color. Then I stamped Roc Nicholas' Artiste Block twice (I needed two "I's!) and used Dyan's Spray Inks to color in the letters I needed. Since there is no "L" and "F" in Artiste, I made my own! Then I stamped Dog and also colored him with Dyan's Spray Inks.

SDC 219 Scary Confusion
It's Wednesday, so that means a new Designer Challenge at Stampotique.
Arwen is our hostess this week and she wants Scary Confusion.
Bird Lady has turned into a witch, and I'm sure a Good Witch, for this week. She's replaced her bird in the pocket for a bat and has a fun witches hat instead of her usual knit cap. There's a few spiders milling about and some friendly ghosts have come to join the party as well.

SDC-218 Blue and Brown
Gez is our hostess this week at SDC218 and she wants us to use Blue and Brown for our creations. One of my favorite color combos!
I started with three different brown Distress Inks, one of which I used thru the woodgrain stencil. Then I used Agatha Flower and stamped her three times so I could cut out the flowers. Each is colored a different color of blue. Then I used Scalloped Lace Border and colored it with different shades of blue highlighted with a bit of yellow. The quote is from Tim Holtz's Chit Chat Stickers, and it's kinda hard to see in the pics, but I lightly colored it with yet another blue!
Yes! Lots of blues in my stash as it's my favorite color!

12 Tags of 2015-October
It's time once again for Tim's 12 Tags of 2015. As usual, I'm marching to my own drummer!
I kept pretty close to his base layer, using some Halloween paper I already had. Then I chose two different Holiday Found Relatives cards and colored here and there on them using my Distress Markers. I also used some of the words from the Holiday Chit Chat stickers.

SD217-Birds and Bees
Claudine is our hostess this week for SDC217 and she wanted us to show her birds and bees. Or birds. Or bees.
I recently got this cute Mr. Owl stamp by Magda and Heart Vine by Roc, so this was the perfect challenge to use them!
I used three different colors of green Distress Paints to color my tag, then stamped the Heart Vine three times. Mr. Owl is colored using new oil pastel crayons.

Roc Nicholas Design Team
I am thrilled and excited to announce that I have been chosen to be on the Design Team for Roc Nicholas! I was lucky enough to take a class with Roc a few years ago and have been using her stamps in my art ever since. I follow her on her Roc Nicholas Rubber Stamp Facebook Page and on her blog.
I have been participating in her swaps that she hostesses on the Roc Nicholas Rubber Stamp Facebook page (and you should come join us!) When she posted for new Design Team members, I decided to jump in with both feet, following my heart and I was lucky enough to be chosen.
I will be posing my art on Roc's blog, here on my own blog, and also on my Facebook page starting in November. I'd love it if you followed along in this latest journey of mine.
Here's a couple of the pieces I designed as part of my application.
A two page spread in my small Dylusions journal This one uses Ponytail, Scalloped Lace Border, Color Her Soul and Flying Heart.
This is a small wooden house that Donna gave me and I knew it would be perfect for part of my submission. For this one I used the very first Roc stamp I ever bought, Bird Lady (LOVE her!), Scalloped Lace Border, Dog and Stacked Love.
All stamps are available from Stampotique.
Thank you Roc, for giving me this wonderful opportunity!

SDC216-Tag
Coby is our hostess this week for SDC216 and she wants us to show her a tag on our project. I LOVE working on tags, so this was an easy one for me.
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month in the U.S and it is something that is close to my heart. I've lost quite a few friends to breast cancer and also have a few who are breast cancer survivors. So this tag is for all who have suffered.
I kept it simple, with three different brown Distress Inks for my background. Then I flicked water on the tag and dried with a towel. If you look closely, you can see some stars stamped here and there on the tag as well. The stamp is a very old and long discontinued Close To My Heart stamp and the flourish is also a now discontinued Close To My Heart product.

SDC215-Card for a Child
This week's hostess at SDC215 is Janet and she wants us to create a card for a child.
There is a special young man who will be getting this tag from me. I used Tim Holtz Distress Inks for my base, then used Black Embossing paste thru the Tim Holtz Halloween stencil. Once that was dry, I used Transparent Embossing Paste thru the Tim Holtz Shattered stencil. I used Roc Nicholas' Scalloped Lace Border and her new Polka Dot Dog stamp and the witches hat is from the new Tim Holtz Crazy Things accessories stamp set to go with his Bird Crazy stamp set. Which goes to prove you don't always have to use a stamp set for what it was designed for!!
