It's my turn again to be the featured Design Team member on Roc's blog.
My postcard will be doing double duty this month! It is also going to be my entry for the June/July postcard swap. I started with Roc's fabulous new stamp Corner Sun. And of course I had to use Screaming Bunny! Who wouldn't want him singing "You are my sunshine?!" Even one of Roc's cute Birds from Bird Border had to make an appearance! I had some sticky back canvas with a plaid design leftover from another project so I cut a few "flowers" as well. This is a song that my dad sang to me when i was little, so it holds a special place in my heart.
All of Roc's stamps can be found at Stampotique.
There is still time to join in on the June/July swap. Come check out Roc's Facebook page! https://www.facebook.com/groups/567598263326733/

SDC250-Butterflies, Flowers and All Things Garden
Jackie is the hostess this week for SDC250.
Here's what she had to say about her challenge: "Now that summer is almost here, it's time to spend some time in the garden and enjoy the nature and flowers. Let's see your best Butterfly, flowers and all things Garden projects"
Feline is out for a stroll in her garden, collecting beautiful moments!
I started with Tim Holtz's Chevron stencil along with Mustard Seed and Pumice Stone Distress Inks. Then I used some of Wendy Vecchi's Fern Green embossing powder along with Roc's Heart Vine stamp adding that to the left side. I stamped off Feline onto a piece of white cardstock and used Dyan Reaveley's Spray Inks to color. Finally, I added a bit of Viva German Glitter on the hearts and on Feline's crown. The sentiment is from Tim Holtz's Chit Chat sticker set and a couple of very old concho's from Close To My Heart to anchor the sentiment.

SDC249-Man Up!
Carol is the hostess this week for SDC249.
Here's what she had to say about her challenge: "Journal page, card or mixed media, all is ok as long as it has a male image on it"
Twinkie has taken on a new summer job as a dog walker. He's got himslef into a bit of a kerfluffle though, with too many Vic's running in between his legs and behind his back. He is being himself though. Bravely!!

Compendium of Curiosities Week 3 challenge
Tim challenged us this week to use Distress Stains and Perfect Pearls. Such fun!
I chose Weathered Wood, Scattered Straw and Pumice Stone as I wanted my background to be on the lighter side. I needed a Thank You card, so that was where my mind was taking me this morning. I used The beautiful Flower Garden stamp set and Grape Fizz, Forever Red, Forever Violet and Forever Green Perfect Pearls. Simple Sayings was my choice for the sentiment and a token completed this tag.

CofC3-Week 2 Challenge
For week two challenge, Tim wanted us to use Distress Stains and stamps. I chose Abandoned Coral, Scattered Straw and Cracked Pistachio. Once it was dry, I used the Speckled stencil and applied some Texture Paste for added interest. I used the Crazy Cats stamp set and thinlets die to cut him out. I also used the Mini Birds and Crazy Things stamps for the balloons and party hat and Simple Sayings stamp set for the sentiment.
This tag will be going to a young lady with special needs who's cousin put out a Facebook request for birthday cards for her.

SDC248-All Creatures Great and Small
Nellie is the hostess this week for SDC248.
Here's what she had to say about her challenge: "Wild and woolly or friendly and domesticated we love them all..make sure to include an animal or two on your creation this week."
I was working with my Gelli Plate yesterday for a Playing Card Deck Swap I am in and pulled a few extra prints, so that is where I started for my background. I additionally random stamped some images on the deli paper and also used Archival ink thru a stencil for some more texture and interest. The house was the positive of a die cut , so I added some tissue paper that I stamped on and made it into a dog house for Polka Dot Dog along with a bit of Scalloped Lace Border for decoration. I used three of Tim Holtz's chit chat stickers to complete the tag.

12 tags of 2016-June
Tim has got a totally rockin tag on his blog!
After a trip to Whim So Doodle to get all of the things Tim used that I didn't have, I went to work following his instructions. I didn't buy the Dapper Gentleman die, so I used my trusty Umbrella Man instead! I think he looks quite handsome in his Spring colored attire with matching umbrella!

SDC247-Boo!
Coby is our hostess this week at Stampotique.
She wants to see the work "boo!" Here's what she had to say about her challenge: "Say Boo to little children and they will laugh.... use the word Boo in your projects this week to let us laugh."
I used an oldie but goodie Tim Holtz technique to make a plaid design on my tag using two different colors of Distress Ink and the Stripes stencil. Then I colored Monster News and cut him out. I "borrowed" a couple of my older Halloween stamps and used the spider and the sentiment. Monster ain't skeered of no stankin' spiders! BOO!

Compendium of Curiosities 3
Tim is teaching "Summer School" this year! And I have never been happier to go to back to school!! He is revisiting CofC 1 and CofC2 and teaching new techniques in CofC3! Classes started yesterday, June 1 and will run back to back to back until Aug 12. You have to have done CofC 1 and 2 in order to do 3. You can join here.
Our first test is to use four different colors of Distress on a project. I used Rusty Hinge and Wild Honey thru the Harlequin stencil, then stamped one of the gentlemen from Sideshow in Black Soot. Finally one of the #hashtags quotes in Lucky Clover. I roughed up the edges and used Ground Espresso on the edges to age the tag a bit.
I don't know if I will be re-doing all of the tags from one and two since I've done them and use them often as reference. But I will do them here and there and share what I do make!
