12 tags of 2016-December

And so we come to the end of another great year of tags with Tim.
This year, he revisited and combined different techniques from years past. It was fun to see old favorites that I had forgotten about and having the added twist of combining two techniques into one tag. I certainly hope Tim continues the tag of the month into 2017.

I followed along pretty closely, changing up a few things to substitute for things I don't have.

12 Tags of 2016-November

Time once again for the 12 tags of 2016 and Tim's November version. He once again brings two totally different and unique techniques together to create one beautiful tag.

I used Tim's Leaf Prints stamps to create my tag. I followed along with his instructions using remnant rubs, Distress Stains, fragments for my sentiment and a wooden flower that was on my craft table!

12 Tags of 2016-October

Tim conjured up a fabulous tag for October!

I am not really a Halloween gal, but I think I did the techniques justice. I used the Cat Crazy stamps and dies along with one of Tim's house dies and his new gate die. I hand cut the "shingles" and distressed them before gluing them down. I used Copper, Black and Silver Embossing Powders on the gate to make it look old.

12 Tags of 2016-September

I just realized I never posted my take on Tim's tag for September. This was my FAVORITE technique for Compendium of Curiosities 103, so it was great to revisit it for this month's tag.

12 tags of 2016-July

Tim did a fabulous remix for the July tag.

First up was the Watercolor Resist and second was layered words. I went with a travel theme again! I used one of Tim's collaborations with Mario Rossi III called Nautical Blueprints and I chose the Seahorse stamp. I followed the directions and layered quite a few yellow tones of Distress Inks to achieve the color on the seahorse. Then I used his word dies and cut out the sentiment.

12 tags of 2016-June

Tim has got a totally rockin tag on his blog!

After a trip to Whim So Doodle to get all of the things Tim used that I didn't have, I went to work following his instructions.  I didn't buy the Dapper Gentleman die, so I used my trusty Umbrella Man instead! I think he looks quite handsome in his Spring colored attire with matching umbrella!

12 tags of 2016-May

EDIT! Happy to say this tag was chosen by Tim and Mario as one of the 12 winners of a fabulous prize pack for May!!

Tim has a fabulous remix for the May tag!

This month is Tissue Tape Resist and Tattered Florals.

My tag is for voyages and that life is meant for great adventures!

12 Tags of 2016-April

It's time again for Tim's  monthly tag. This time he is revisiting Faux Mosaic and Paint Resist.

I did not have his new Mosaic kit, so I "faked it" and used what I had! I also did not have his new woodgrain texture paper, so I used my embossing folder and made my own! I think  my tag turned out pretty well for faking my way through it!

12 tags of 2016-March

Tim's revisiting two very cool techniques this month! Dimensional Die Cuts and Textured Surfaces.

I used the Crazy Birds and his travel words dies for my tag. I used his new Distress Crayons to color with. I am LOVING all of the ways you can color with these crayons. Sure do hope Ranger comes out with the full line for CHA next year!

12 Tags of 2016-February

It's time once again for Tim  to revisit  some oldies but goodies techniques for the 12 tags of 2016.

This month, he revisits Monoprint and Embossed Texture Paste. I did both techniques and added some Sparkle with Tim's new Distress Glitter Dust. I used a photo from one of the photo strips on my tag, which I crumpled up to make it look even older!

12 Tags of 2016-January

I'm so glad Tim is continuing on with his 12 Tags for 2016!

This year he is making everything old, new again. He will be revisiting older techniques and giving them a new spin!

For January, he pulled out Industrious Metal and Chalkboard Techniques. I could not find my Black Distress Paint, so I used Ground Espresso Distress Paint instead and I kinda like the softer look it gave! And I could not find my Frosted Crystal Powder, so I used Copper instead and I REALLY like the look it gave! It really is about using what you have and making do! Still marching to the beat of my own drummer!!
