Happy New Year (a few days early!)

December 26th means it's time for my final Design Team piece for 2016 and a feature on Roc's blog.

A few of her animals have gotten together for an early New Year's Party! I used a couple of mop-up pages in my small Dylusions journal for this party. I added a few of Tim's rub-ons that were laying on my craft table for some added interest along with some texture stamping.

Stamps used are:
ElliePolka Dot DogBunnyDogFlying PigScreaming Bunny, and Party Dog. Additionally I used, Stacked Boxes and Flying Heart.

These and ALL of Roc's stamps can be found at Stampotique.

Happy New Year, and we'll see you in 2017! Party on!!

12 tags of 2016-December

And so we come to the end of another great year of tags with Tim.
This year, he revisited and combined different techniques from years past. It was fun to see old favorites that I had forgotten about and having the added twist of combining two techniques into one tag. I certainly hope Tim continues the tag of the month into 2017.

I followed along pretty closely, changing up a few things to substitute for things I don't have.

Standing on LOVE

The 26th means it's once again my turn to be featured on Roc's blog as part of her Design Team!

Poor Dog is so sick of the fighting and arguing that is going on in the United States right now that he is Standing On LOVE!

Roc's stamps that I used for this tag are Corner SunDogStacked Love and Flying Heart.

You can find all of Roc's stamps at Stampotique.

12 Tags of 2016-November

Time once again for the 12 tags of 2016 and Tim's November version. He once again brings two totally different and unique techniques together to create one beautiful tag.

I used Tim's Leaf Prints stamps to create my tag. I followed along with his instructions using remnant rubs, Distress Stains, fragments for my sentiment and a wooden flower that was on my craft table!

Caution!

Time for me once again on Roc's Blog.

I've created a two page spread in my mini journal for Halloween. Bird Lady
takes center stage only she's got a kitty in her pocket in place of her usual bird! Elly is out for a walk and she's picked up a kitty to travel with her as well! And Crooked House has a kitty sitting on the roof as well! I used Dot Leaf Border on the base as my "grass."

You can find all of Roc's stamps at Stampotique.

12 Tags of 2016-October

Tim conjured up a fabulous tag for October!

I am not really a Halloween gal, but I think I did the techniques justice. I used the Cat Crazy stamps and dies along with one of Tim's house dies and his new gate die. I hand cut the "shingles" and distressed them before gluing them down. I used Copper, Black and Silver Embossing Powders on the gate to make it look old.

12 Tags of 2016-September

I just realized I never posted my take on Tim's tag for September. This was my FAVORITE technique for Compendium of Curiosities 103, so it was great to revisit it for this month's tag.

Take a chance

It's time once again for me to be the featured Design Team member on Roc's blog.

This month I've created a tag and if Pony Tail  and Flying Pig had a baby, this is what it would look like! I love the ease of Roc's stamps to cut and mash-up the different animal stamps she creates! Steampunk Border completes my tag.

All of Roc's stamps can be found at Stampotique.

SDC257-Put A Bug on It

It's time for a new challenge and this  time we are to put a bug on it!

Twinkie seems to have gotten himself into a buggy situation! He's even got a caterpillar on his head!!! All of the bugs are from Dyan Reaveley stamps sets.

SDC 256 Week 2

It's the second week of the SDC Mail Art Challenge.

I had some happy mail to send out, so I decided to decorate the envie as well as what was going inside!

I used Kassa's cute little Betsy bird, Magda's Agatha Flower and Roc's Bird Border.

SDC256-Mail Art

For the Stampotique  challenge, we are to make mail art. In other words, decorate the envelope that your mail will go in. Fun!!

I've used 4 different stamps for this challenge. Roc's Dog, Leaf Dot Border and Scalloped Lace Border and Kira's Monster News. All images were colored using Dylusions Spray Inks.

By The Sea

John and I have friends getting married next month. They both love the beach. So much so that they are getting married ON Clearwater Beach! So I thought it was appropriate that their wedding gift from us have a beach theme.

I started with one of Tim Holtz's Mini Configurations Books and used Distress Paint Salty Ocean to paint all of the edges. Once dry, I came back in with some Ground Espresso Distress Ink and aged here and there to make it look a little more worn. I used an old Graphic45 paper line called By The Sea and added some raffia to the covers and cut out some of the stamps from the line and pop-dotted them for dimension on the front cover. The happy couple's initials are K and J, so I used Tim's wooden alphabet and pounced Salty Ocean Distress Paint on them and once dry, I lightly sanded to age them a bit. They are getting married on October 15, so I found a 10 and a 15 and did the same with them as with the letters. I found L O V E in my letter dice and applied a bit of Salty Ocean Paint to them as well. I had bought the sailboat and flip flops at a craft show that I went to a while ago and I used some LuminArt Silks on them. I used a corked vial and added some Distress Glitter to it. A word tag, Destiny since K says she was destined to meet J! And finally three hearts with a bit of Mushroom Alcohol Ink to age them a bit.

Gone to the Dogs!

Playing with new stamps, stencils, Grit Paste, Thinlets dies and Distress Crayons!

Good Day

The 26th and it's my day again to be featured on Roc's blog.

I started my postcard with a technique that Tim taught in Compendium of Curiosities 103 that I fell in love with. I can't share how I did the background, but it was done with Alcohol Inks.

I reverse stamped Bird Lady. Then I stamped Flying HeartFinally,  I added a pop of Tim Holtz's Broken China Distress Ink to both. I heard the quote on a TV show and liked it, so I printed it out and added it.

This postcard will be going to a player in Roc's Facebook swap group next month. There is still time to join!  https://www.facebook.com/groups/567598263326733/

All of Roc's stamps can be found at Stampotique

Now go have a good day!

SDC-255 Polka Dots

It's time once again for the Stampotique Designers Challenge.

This challenge is Polka Dots. So fun! You can't be sad when there are polka dots around!

I pulled out every polka dot-ish stencil I own and went to town. Donna had given me a bunch of stamps when I saw her last Saturday and I was itching to use some, so these are not Stampotique stamps. I do not know the manufacturer. But I love the flower and the cute bees!

I used Distress Inks, Distress Crayons (and did you hear there are two new sets of  Distress Crayons being shipped NOW?!), Archival Inks, Embossing Powders and Sharpie pens on my background.

I like the softness of this tag!

Compendium of Curiosities 3-Day 6 The Wrap Up

A fabulous week of knowledge being passed on to eager students by Tim was wrapped up with a challenge. For us to take what we had learned in CofC1, CofC2 and CofC3 and use something other than paper to make something. I knew immediately what I wanted to do! It's August and it's time for me to get started on Christmas! So, my first Christmas project is DONE! I am painty, inky, alcoholy, and sticky from glue, but boy am I happy!!
