It's time once again for the CofCIII Challenge on Linda's blog. This go-round, our sponsor is The Inspiration Emporium and one lucky player will receive a $50 gift card. As always, we are working out of the book by Tim Holtz and you can get your own copy just by following the link. Tim and Mario will choose a winner to receive a fantastic prize from them. And the Curiosity Crew will also choose a winner. Winners all over the place!
This time we are working on page 60 of the book. Without giving away the trade secrets, I decided to do a burlap panel for this challenge. I also used one of the Found Relatives cards and cut the two boys apart. Mom had just finished hanging the wreath on the front door and wanted to take a picture before the boys went back to their sledding! You can see how thrilled they were to take time out from their playing to make mom happy. And what's that old saying about if Mom's not happy, nobody's happy?! Lots of truth there!!

Hi Sue. I like your little Christmas canvas and the story behind it. :) Mom did a beautiful job of decorating the canvas...oops...I mean front of the house with the string of lights and the wreath on the front door. Your story about her two boys and their thrill of having their picture taken made me laugh. :) Thanks for sharing with us at CC3C. <3 Candy
Great canvas Sue! Love the wreath on the door, fab story too. Karen.x
Sue, I love how you wove a little story to the sledding boys. So cute. And this canvas is so fun and festive. Love that you hung the wreath on the door like that.
This is so clever Sue! I love the idea of a vintage photo of the boys in front of the front door! Great use of the burlap panel. The technique was well done too! Thanks for playing along with us!
