CofCIII- Photo Tinting

After taking a couple of challenges off, I am back at it with the 12th challenge! This week it's all about Photo Tinting. You can read all about it in Tim's third book because as you know by now, I can't share the technique with you! You should also head to Linda's blog and see what the Crew created with this challenge. Our sponsor this week is The Funkie Junkie and they are donating a gift card for one lucky winner.

One of the Curiosity Crew members, Annette Green did a FABULOUS tribute to her late mother in law and it got my wheels turning. I used one of Tim's burlap panels for my memorial. I colored some Ranger Texture Paste and ran it thru a stencil and darkened the edges of the panel with some Gathered Twigs Distress Ink.  We have a picture of John's mom when that was on her passport when she came from Japan to marry dad and move here to the States. So I did the technique per Tim's instructions then set about to make a memorial to her. She loved her prayer blessings and she had a bunch of them that I gathered up before we sold their house. I had a piece of a long discontinued Close To My Heart paper laying around, so I incorporated it onto my panel. She will forever be in our hearts. We love you, mom.

I never realized how much we have in common here, Sue. This is a wonderful tribute to your late MIL. And the paper selection is perfect!

Beautiful job on the photo tinting. You really got it, and I'll bet this is not your last go at this technique. Very cool!
