Time once again for the Compendium of Curiosities III challenge, hosted as always by Linda Ledbetter. Go see what she and the Crew have created for this challenge here! We are working from the book by Tim Holtz and you can order your very own autographed copy from the link. This week, our sponsor is The Funkie Junkie and one lucky player will receive a $25 gift certificate!
This week we are working on Page 39-Distress Watercoloring. I recently purchased the latest collaboration stamp set of Tim and Mario III called Nautical Blueprints. And since the first day of Summer was this past Saturday, I was drawn to the set! I self-colored some of Wendy Vecchi's White Embossing Paste with Golden Nugget powder and after applying three different colors of blue distress inks to my tag, I used Tim's Rays stencil to apply the embossing paste. I used the shell and seahorse stamps and followed Tim's instructions to color them. Added just a bit of Distress Rock Candy glitter on both for some shine. I shamelessly copied my friend Anita Houston's idea to use white paint on one of Tim's fabrics and made a little ruffle for the bottom. I used some raffia from my stash for the top.
