Rain...or lack thereof!

So if you read the paper or listen to the news, you would think that the rain from this past weekend has brought the Tampa area out of it's 4 year drought. And you would be wrong. While there were some isolated places that got between 5 and 7 inches of rain, we here at Casa Waters got less than 1 inch of rain. And while I am not complaining about that one inch, it certainly does not mean that we are out of the drought by any way shape or form. I was actually YELLING at the TV weather lady the other night because she was saying how the weekend was going to be ruined by "all the rain." Summer is when we traditionally get our bulk of the rain. We need the rain to refill the aquafir so that we will have water to drink when we aren't getting rain. And while we are in a recession and the building boom has pretty much gone bust, they are still building, taking away the open land where the rain has a chance to percolate down into the aquafir. It certainly can't do that thru asphalt and concrete. We still need rain. And we need lots of it.

Same here. We are not getting near enough to do any good.
