Janet is the hostess this week at Stampotique Designers Challenge and she wanted us to used tin for SDC197. Donna had given me this tin and I had no idea what I was going to do with it. But better to take it than her throw it away! I knew I'd find a use for it!
June 1 starts another Index Card A Cay (ICAD) with hostess Tammy Garcia. I played last year, and have my new index cards ready to go for 61 days! You can read more about it here. Any and all are welcome to join! I have acquired quite a nice selection of pens and markers and have been storing them in a Ziploc bag. I decided to repurpose the tin into a pen/marker holder! I started with Adirondack Alcohol Inks and covered the tin. Then I used Black Distress paint on an Industrious Sticker, let it dry, then wiped off the high spots. I colored my kitties with NeoColor, then highlighted with Fude Ball Black and Signo Uniball White pens. Now this can sit proudly on my cra(p)ft table and my pens and markers will be right at hand!

Something Old, Something New...
Something Borrowed, Something Blue. NO! I am NOT getting married again! Once is plenty! I waited for the right one and John is stuck with me!
Actually, that is the challenge given to us by Coby this week on the Stampotique Designers Challenge. This is challenge 196.
For my "Old", I used some old dictionary paper. My "New" is the newest stamp I own. It's from the 2 lbs of rubber that we got when we were in Las Vegas last month at Viva Las Vegas Stamps. My "Borrowed" is a few washers I borrowed from John's extensive "collection" (you KNOW we have to have multiples of every size known to man!) in the garage! And my "Blue" is the background. I used Tim Holtz's new Mermaid Lagoon for the background. So beautiful! I used some Faber Castell Glass Bead Glitter Gel on the blue parts. I love the shimmer it gives! The mermaid was colored using Twinkling H2O's and Silks. I also used a few blue Dew Drops to simulate bubbles rising to the surface.

Stampotique Challenge 195
Karen Hayselden recently accepted me into the Stampotique Originals Rubberstamping group on FaceBook. Every week, a design team member has a challenge. This week for Challenge 195, Arwen McCullen challenged us to use a human body and an animal head to make our creation. What fun!
For my tag,I used Roc Nicholas' Bird Lady, Pony Tail and Feline stamps and also Daniel Torrente's Underwhere stamp.
I had so much fun making the human body/animal head combo, plus, I DID have that leftover animal body and human head that I did an additional tag.

12 Tags of 2015-May
It's time once again for the 12 tags of 2015! You can go to Tim's blog post to see his fabulous creation!
I needed a few manly tag/cards, so I went in a different direction than Tim's. I used some of Tim's new Deco Sheets to make my sentiment in place of the flowers. Otherwise, I followed along with pretty much everything else he demonstrated with his tag.
