I'm entering this ATC card in both the Grungy Monday and Simon Says challenges for this week. You can see Linda's challenge here: http://studiol3.blogspot.com/2012/02/grungy-monday-35-holtz-ian-atcs.html And Simon Says challenge here: http://studiol3.blogspot.com/2012/02/grungy-monday-35-holtz-ian-atcs.html And as always, Linda's challenge is based on the works of t!m Holtz and his blog is here: http://timholtz.typepad.com/my_weblog/
Linda's challenge was to do an ATC card. Now I don't "get" the whole ATC thing! I've tried it and it's not really my cuppa tea, but for the challenge, I HAD to do one! We had to use at least one t!m product and technique. So my ATC is the required 2.5 x3.5 inches and I used some of my Kraft Resist cardstock for the base and inked using Ripe Persimmon, Iced Spruce and Tumbled Glass Distress Inks and edged in Gathered Twig. The heart is covered in CTMH Smoothie Bakers Twine. The wings are cut out of CTMH Smoothie cardstock and the top edge is distressed and inked in Distress Ink Gathered Twigs. There's a piece of tissue tape up in the top left corner. The LOVE was cut out of the new CTMH Crusin paper pack and I distressed all the edges with Gathered Twig and they are all topped with Glossy Accents. For the Simon Says challenge, we were to use wings, a button and distress something. So I went a "little" overboard with the single button and found four in the ones that mom's friend Ruth gave me and I inked a piece of common household twine and tied up my buttons.
I don't know as this has changed my mind on ATC's but I'm happy with my final result and I guess that's all that matters!
