SOM Card/Birthday Card

I've got a theme with cards going on at the ranch the last couple of days! First is a card for our oldest nephew who will be turning 18 next week. And just where did those 18 years go? I know I'm not 18 years older! I used a SU stamp set for this one just cuz I lurve the little crab! My camera is having some "issues" this morning, so the sentiment says, "Snappy Birthday." I know it's very hard to read...sorry! I found the idea on a blog...who's I don't remember! I read so many! It's got a little pocket cut out for a gift card. I thought it would be perfect for K's birthday.

Then for the second set of SOM swap with my Yahoo group, I used the same idea, just used the June SOM With Love and Whoops A Daisy paper pack. And if any of the SOM swapper girls are reading, NO you are not getting a gift card! You are getting a replica of a GC!! Love you gals, but don't love ya that much! ;)

Happy Everything/SOM cards

This is my contribution to our teams Stamp of the Month swap for June. Stamp set is called With Love and will be available during the month of June. Colors used are Watermelon, Ocean, Hydrangea, Sunny Yellow, Garden Green, Topiary and Sweet Leaf. I Random Stamped the flowers, stems and flourishes on White Daisy cardstock. Cut a small file folder using my Coluzzle and covered it in the stripe paper from the Whoops A Daisy paper pack. Attached clear buttons to the solid side of the stripe paper and added some white waxy flax to it for the center of the flower on the file folder. Triple-stamped Happy Everything on the inside of the file folder. Then put the flower on the wrong side of the file folder! When you open it, the flower bends. Oh well! Too late to change it now! Added a photo clip to keep the file folder closed. And Liane, not a BIT of Liquid Glass anywhere!!

New CTMH Stamp of the Month

Giving you CTMH lovers a sneak peek of our May Stamp of the Month. I am now doing two monthly swaps with the SoM. One is with our team that I've been swapping with for over a year now. And the new Yahoo group I joined decided that we would swap too. This stamp set is going to go over very well I think. It has lots of sentiments that can be used for all sorts of different holidays and events. The stamp set is called Say It In Style.

For out team swap, I used Discovery paper pack, the dragonfly from Butterfly Kisses, and It's a Party stamp set in addition to Say It In Style.Colors used are Hollyhock, Topiary, Buttercup and White Daisy. I random stamped using the It's A party set on Buttercup cardstock. Stamped the dragonfly with Hollyhock, then used my Stickles for a bit of bling. Used my SU Word Window punch to make a window in the front of the card and stamped "Nice Job" on the inside of the card.

Fot the Yahoo group, I used Silhouette paper pack and my Nestabilities scallop punch in the Cuttlebug. This is called a flap card. It's a tri-fold card with a flap that folds over the top. Something different I thought I'd try. I double stamped the Thank You in bamboo and black. The flower button is Making Memories and the black rick rack is Bazzill. BUT!!! CTMH is introducing Rick Rack in it's Summer catalog! Mine is already ordered and will be here by the end of the week. Along with 2 new paper packs and 2 new stamp sets. So stay tuned for fresh new artwork!!

Stamp of the Month swap

Close your eyes Liane!

I saw something similar in a magazine and wanted to see if I could make this work. Since there's just 4 of us in our Unit swapping the Stamp of the Month anymore, I figured I'd try it out on them! And I LOVE how it turned out. I random stamped the cardstock then colored the images in with colored pencils, adding a bit of Stickles for bling! This is the Feb Stamp of the Month and is not even due to the hostess until the middle of Feb, but because I was so anxious to try this technique, my swap is done! I am so sad!

Tired

So we got the rest of the flower beds cleaned yesterday. We were gonna put down the mesh weed barrier and fresh mulch today, but I think I overdid it a bit. Got up this morning and my lower back was screaming. So we decided not to work in the yard today. John's contemplating his eyelids again! We needed a break.
Over yonder is my Stamp of The Month card for our Units swap for December. The set is called "In My Heart" and I used the "Free Spirit" paper pack. We work a month in advance so we can have samples to show our customers. I love seeing how creative the girls in my Unit are. Everyone has a completely different take on the SOM sets!
