Sam is our hostess this week at SDC.
Here's what she had to say about her challenge:
"The first thing I usually do after choosing which stamp I'm going to
use is to reach for my black inkpad. So I'm challenging myself and you
to make anything you fancy so long as there is no black ink or paint
etc. Have fun!"
I used three different Distress Stains to color my tag, Scattered Scattered Straw, Cracked Pistachio and Stormy Skies. I used some Texture Paste thru Tim Holtz's Stripes Stencil here and there for some texture and once dry, colored them using Distress Crayons. Then I used Ranger Copper Embossing Powder to stamp Kassa's Herbert Hare. Finally, I added a chit-chat sticker.

Cardboard Roll Album
It's the 26th, so that means it's my day to be featured on Roc's blog
as a member of her Design Team.
This is a picture heavy post, so grab a drink and enjoy!
I know a young lady who has anxiety issues. She also loves to make art. So I decided to make part of her gift and allow her to finish it as she wishes. I started with toilet paper tubes, flattened them, painted them, then used an old Graphic 45 paper pack and accessories, Botanical Garden to cover the tubes. Then I cut out 8 manilla tags using a Tim Holtz die and my Vagabond. Once they were cut, I used Dina Wakley Heavy Body Acrylic Paints and colored both sides and when that dried, I used Tim's Flourish stencil along with Dina's Gilt and Sterling paints thru the stencil. Then I stamped and cut out various Roc images and adhered them to the tags. Miss E can color the images as she chooses. Each tube holds two tags with images on both sides.
Here are the stamps I used: Stacked Love, Screaming Bunny, Stand Tall, Polka Dot Dog, Crooked House, Ponytail, Flying Heart, Bunny, Flying Pig, Stacked Cups, Feline, Stacked Boxes, Ellie, Party Dog, Dog, Bird Lady, Heart Vine and last but not least Scalloped Lace Border.
Now, on to the pictures!
I hope Miss E has as much fun coloring these images (plus a few others I will throw in for her to use however she wants) as I did making the mini album!

SDC245 Circles
Kristen is the hostess this week at Stampotique. She wants to see circles. Here's what Kristen said: "I love to use circles in my projects, so this week I am challenging you
to get creative and show us what you can do with circles in your
project"
Twinkie, as we all know is awesome EVERY day! So he's just reminding all of us to be awesome too! I used Dyan Reaveley Spray Inks to color my tag. Then I used a very old and long retired Close To My Heart stamp set called Circles and stamped the different circle patterns on my tag. A little pen work with my Signo Uniball white pen for highlights and this simple card is done.

SDC244-Scribbles
It's Arwen's turn to be hostess for the Stampotique Designers Challenge.
She wants to see scribbles! Here's what she had to say about her challenge:
I want to see scribbles in your projects this week, that can be by hand or by stamp, just add some scribbles."
I know a young lady who is having some anxiety issues right now and she LOVES all things pink and Unicorns, so I started with a mixture of Tim Holtz's Distress Inks in blue tones for the "sky". Then I added some scribbles and some glitter because you can't have pink AND a Unicorn without a little glitter! AmIright?! Then I stamped Magda's Unicorn and used Dyan Reaveley's Spray Inks to color the Unicorn. Once he was adhered, I sprayed some of Wendy Vecchi's Pearl Mica Spray for even MORE shimmer! I had the "diamond" spray on my craft table, so I put it to good use as well. Finally, I found the perfect sentiment in Tim's Small Talk stickers.

SDC243-Motherly Love
This week, Claudine is our hostess and she wants to see Motherly Love.
Here's what she had to say:
"Let's make something with our Mom's in mind, show Mom how much she means to you"
I used some of Tim Holtz's tissue Wrap and three different Distress Stains to color my tag. Then I used a few stencils and stenciled here and there. I also used Janet's Ribbon Border #1 along the sides. Finally I splattered some black paint around to mimic Kassa's Betsy water splatter from her bath. I added Roc's Bird Border as Betsy's babies! She's teaching her brood how to bathe in a puddle. Motherly love!
Happy Mother's Day to all of my mom friends this Sunday.
