Is it just me, or did the last two weeks just ZOOM right on by?!
It's time once again to join Linda and the Curiosity Crew with Tim's instructions on page 50 of his book Compendium of Curiosities III. One winner, chosen by the Curiosity Crew will receive a prize pack from Tim and Mario. And another winner will receive a $25 shopping spree from The Funkie Junkie.
I can't tell you a whole lot about my tag because I pretty much used Tim's technique on everything! Not necessarily using stencils, but I embossed every.thing on the tag! The only thing NOT embossed is the background colors and the coloring on the old car! Those I used Distress Inks on. Other than that, if you want to know how I did the rest, ya gotta go buy the book!! ;)

12 tags of 2014-November
Decided I needed to get my November tag! Here's Tim's tutorial if you'd like to play along.
I pretty much did this tag just as Tim describes.

Compendium of Curiosities III-Cabinet Cards
As soon as I saw this weeks challenge on Linda's blog, I knew what I was going to do!
I was gifted a BUNCH of old family photos a few months ago by my Favorite Weird Unkle Grumpz and there was one of my Grandmother and her sisters with their mother in 1923. I wanted to do something with it, but didn't know what. So when I saw the challenge, there was my answer!
As always, we are working out of the book by Tim Holtz and in addition, he and Mario also provide a very generous prize box to one lucky winner chosen by the Curiosity Crew. We are also sponsored by Inspiration Emporium and they will be providing a $50 gift certificate to one lucky player.
I used some of Wendy Vecchi's Embossing paste thru her checkerboard stencil on my card. An old piece of lace is sewn on the card, and an old button from my stash and I used a small canvas tag for the 1923 date (Tim's Industrious Stickers painted black and wiped off!) and Dina Wakley's Collaged Hearts stamp set.
From left to right is my Great-Aunt Julia who was a nurse at what was then Mound Park Hospital in St Pete. My Great-Grandmother Laura, who was born on Key West to one of the original settlers of the island. She lived to 103 years old! My Great-Aunt Eloise who was a school teacher and principal. Finally, my Grandmother Sara and she was a school cafeteria worker.
